I ordered this to replace an old small basic Black & Decker. I have always liked having a dust-buster around for quick vacuuming - it can be a pain to pull out the big vacuum for small jobs. I like the attachment functionality.  The brush and tube extension is now built into the device instead of coming as separate pieces. I also like the increase in suction power. Besides, the dustbin can be quickly emptied from the front by removing the duct or completely detached for more thorough cleaning.

It has been in daily use so far and we are very entertained by it. I took it to our company party and my co-workers enjoyed it so much. I've had a Zojirushi water heater for 3 years now and I love it. While it seemed expensive when I bought it, I find it is well worth the price. Near boiling water is always ready to make tea, and I've saved countless minutes of what used to be a process of filling the kettle, turning on the heat, waiting, and coming back.  I use it for tea, instant oatmeal, soup, hot chocolate, apple cider, ramen and other stuff.

Okay. I'm old. I don't understand a lot of gadget stuff. MP3, MP4, widgets...I have no idea what they are and I doubt that the quality of my retirement will be affected by that loss. But I do have a computer at home that the cable guy set up. I can send e-mail, read the news online and have even bought books on Amazon and had them delivered by UPS to my door. 

Roku 3 Streaming Media Player

We purchased this with the intention of getting rid of our satellite service. We don't regret it at all, in fact we watch a lot of stuff that we would not have normally sought out. We have Amazon Prime and Hulu as well as a bunch of the free channels loaded. We will probably add Netflix at some point but for our typical 10-12 hours of TV viewing a week we aren't too worried about it. There are a few shows that we have to go to the networks website (Survivor and Amazing Race) and can't get it on our Roku but we cut our costs by more than $100 a month so it doesn't really bother us that much.
